Beautiful Mandalas to Transform Your Life

General Information about Feng Shui

Feng Shui means “wind / water” and is the ancient art aligning objects with the forces of nature to enhance our lives.

Energy or “chi” is all around us. Every object, person, plant, and pet emits energy. And that energy can be harnessed by using feng shui in the home to improve the quality of our everyday lives.

It may sound kooky, but how we arrange our “stuff” can affect what happens in our lives. Think about it: everyone, at one time or other, has walked into a home that made them just feel good. And the opposite is also true. Who hasn’t gotten the “willys” when entering a place that just didn’t feel right? That atmosphere is created by chi. And harnessing that chi (or energy) for positive purposes is what feng shui in the home is all about.

The Ba Gua

The Ba Gua

In feng shui, our home is divided into 9 sections called the “ba gua”. Each “gua” or section of the house influences different aspects of our lives. For example, if you wanted to attract new love into your life, you would start by concentrating on enhancing the energy of the back, right section of your home which affects relationships. You attract good energy, first by clearing and cleaning, a space and removing negative influences, and then by intentionally placing items in the space that represent the outcome you want to achieve.

The energy and feng shui in the home can enhance or impede our:
prosperity; fame and reputation; romance and relationships; family; health; creativity and children; skills, knowledge and wisdom; career; and our ability to encounter helpful people and travel.

Feng Shui Colors

There are certain colors associated with the different areas of your home. So in addition to clearing the clutter and arranging your possessions in a pleasing manner, you can also use feng shui colors to enhance your space. Feng shui manadlas were designed using colors to enhance their effect.

The purpose of this web-site is to give you feng shui tools that can be used to enhance the good energy (chi) in your environment ( Ba Gua). Each area of your home represents an area of your life. By clearing and then intentionally placing objects (feng shui Manadalas) that represent positive change, you can help the good energy help you.

Using feng shui tools will improve your life. In fact, you don’t have to believe in feng shui to use it successfully. And you don’t have to spend a lot of money. Chances are you already have most of what you need to make your home a feng shui energy magnet. In a way, it’s just good decorating. You want to feel comfortable in your own space and you want others to feel comfortable as well.  Feng Shui can help.

We offer exclusive feng shui products to help draw positive chi with our feng shui mandalas, mandala cards and other items. They are  designed to be beautiful but also to help you use feng shui in your home to create the life of your dreams.

Clear the Clutter

Look around your house (or apartment ... or room). Is there one area that always seems piled up with junk? Chances are that you’ve got energy difficulties. Clearing out the excess clutter and giving that area a good cleaning is a great place to start your feng shui journey. You’ll feel great. Now, you might have to do this over and over again, until one day you will notice that the area is clean and ... you haven’t had a fight with your sister in months.

Object Placement

Once you’ve cleaned and cleared, take stock of how objects are placed in the space. Is everything all pushed up together or is there a pleasing space and flow? A lot of feng shui is just common sense and paying attention to how things feel.

But some folks are more intuitive then others. You might want to hire a consultant. If you are in Virginia, I highly recommend Sandra Ritenour of Peace and Plenty Feng Shui in Stephens City, VA. Her number is 540 869-5635. Otherwise you can find a practitioner by doing an internet search. Make sure you get someone who is certified. A genuine feng shui consultant has been through lots and lots of training.
Art

Hanging meaningful art into a space can be a powerful tool for enhancing good energy. But you must be very careful not to unintentionally attract negative energy. Consider displaying a Feng Shui Mandala in your home. Feng Shui Mandalas are designed to attract just the energy you want. You can order one here or create your own.

The Case for Personal Growth

In her book, Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life : How to Use Feng Shui to Get Love, Money, Respect and Happiness, Karen Rauch Carter suggests that when using Feng Shui, it is often a good idea to start with personal growth. That’s the front left corner of your home. To illustrate her point she uses the example of someone who enhances their romance section to attract a love partner. Without also enhancing their Personal growth gua, they may indeed succeed in attracting potential mates, but their effort is wasted if they don’t have the wisdom to choose which prospect is really right for them.

In my own life I was having trouble with money. I didn’t earn enough to pay my bills. So I enhanced my home’s prosperity section (the back left corner) and money started to appear. I got checks out of the blue, I won things; the money I needed appeared as if by magic. Unfortunately my bills also magically reappear each month and constantly relying gifts from unexpected sources gets a little stressful when you’re doing it month after month. I needed to earn more.

I could have concentrated on my career gua for a while or the family section which covers paying monthly bills; and that would help. But where I really needed to start was my wisdom/personal growth gua. That’s because no matter what I wanted to accomplish, I needed the skills and knowledge to do it and the wisdom to choose the right path.

So if you are just starting with feng shui, I suggest you clear your clutter and then start working with the personal growth section of your home. First get rid of any alcohol, drugs or symbols of alcohol or drugs from this area of your home (the front left corner). Colors to try would be blue, black and green. Books, symbols of wisdom, and pictures of mentors or people you admire are also helpful. 8 is the number for this section. (I differ from Ms Carter on this point.) So arrange objects in groupings of eight. I know this can be difficult when you don’t want clutter. I have a group of 8 wooden animals given to me by a special friend which I’ve arranged into a pleasing display.

If you are studying a language or tax preparation, keep your text books in this area. In fact books on any skill or topic you want to master should be kept here. You might consider making or purchasing a powerful Feng Shui Mandala to hang here. Feng Shui Mandalas already have the symbols and colors you need.

Finally don’t forget to express your gratitude here. Expressing gratitude is important in any endeavor and this is a great place to start.
